Product, care, and family perspective

Assume tired-parent mistakes will happen

A timer gets left running, a nap is entered an hour late, or a voice message records the wrong event. That is normal when you are caring for a baby on little sleep. EchoMom can repair the saved record, so you do not need to remember which edit screen holds each field.

Say the correction plainly

Open EchoMom and describe the change as you would to another caregiver. Words such as actually, change, delete, and that was help identify that you are correcting an existing event rather than adding another one.

  1. Try: “Change the last nap to start at 1:20 p.m.”
  2. Try: “Delete the last sleep entry. He was out on a walk.”
  3. Try: “That bottle was 120 mL, not 210 mL.”
  4. Read the confirmation before making another correction.

Rebuild a broken night in order

If you remember several sleep periods, tell EchoMom the sequence in one message: when sleep began, when the baby woke, and when sleep started again. EchoMom can create the known events in order instead of forcing you through the same screen repeatedly.

  1. Start with the earliest time you know.
  2. Separate each sleep and wake period clearly.
  3. Say still sleeping when the final sleep has not ended.
  4. Leave out any start or end time you would only be guessing.

Check Calendar before relying on the pattern

Open Calendar and scan the corrected period. Make sure the event type, child, start, end, amount, or side matches what you meant. Correcting the record helps future handoffs and sleep summaries, but it cannot recover details nobody remembers.

What to remember

  • Tell EchoMom what was wrong and what the known correction should be.
  • You can correct, remove, or add more than one known event in a conversation.
  • Review Calendar afterward; a useful record matters more than filling every gap.

When typing is too much

Ask EchoMom about the next care moment.

Say what happened, ask about recent care, or get help finding the right next step without digging through screens.
