Tell EchoMom How Many Naps to Expect

Set the number of naps your child is actually taking right now, then return to the age guide when the routine settles again.

Quick reference

  • Control label: Nap schedule
  • Modes: Age guide, Parent set, Needs birthday
  • Range: 0 to 6 naps/day

1 Step 1

Find the Nap schedule control

The Nap schedule card shows whether EchoMom is using the age guide or the nap count you chose. It can also show the usual nap count for your child's age when birthday information is available.

  1. 1 Open the child's profile or sleep-related settings area where Nap schedule appears.
  2. 2 Look for the pill that says Age guide, Parent set, or Needs birthday.
  3. 3 Check the line that says how many naps per day the coach is using.

If the control says Needs birthday, add the child's birthday before relying on age-guide timing.

2 Step 2

Set the nap count

Use the plus and minus controls to match the child's current routine. EchoMom accepts a practical range from zero to six naps per day.

  1. 1 Tap plus to increase the target number of naps.
  2. 2 Tap minus to decrease the target number of naps.
  3. 3 Wait for the setting to save before leaving the screen.

3 Step 3

Reset when the routine changes

Nap transitions are temporary. Once the child's routine lines up with the age guide again, reset your chosen nap count so EchoMom can return to age-based timing.

  1. 1 Look for Reset to age guide.
  2. 2 Tap it to clear the parent-set override.
  3. 3 Review the next sleep estimate after the next sleep, nap, or wake log.

Use parent-set timing when real life is different from the age guide, such as a one-nap transition or a short-term schedule experiment.

Takeaways

What to remember

  • EchoMom can use the age guide or the nap count you choose.
  • Changing the nap count helps EchoMom estimate sleep timing more realistically.
  • Reset to the age guide when you want EchoMom to follow the age-based suggestion again.
