Keep the Nursing Timer Visible on Android

Keep a nursing timer easy to reach after you leave EchoMom, with a floating Android timer or a notification backup.

Quick reference

  • Starts from: active nursing timer
  • Shown when: you leave EchoMom during nursing
  • Controls: switch side, stop, open EchoMom

1 Step 1

Start a nursing session in EchoMom

The Android timer follows the nursing session you started in EchoMom. Start in the app first so it knows the starting side and time.

  1. 1 Open the nursing timer.
  2. 2 Start on the left or right side.
  3. 3 Confirm the in-app mini timer is running.

2 Step 2

Leave the app during the feed

While EchoMom is open, use the in-app timer. If you press Home or switch to another app, Android can keep the nursing timer reachable.

  1. 1 Press Home or switch to another app while nursing is active.
  2. 2 Use the floating timer or notification to see elapsed time and the active side.
  3. 3 Use Switch side or Stop when the feed changes.

3 Step 3

Know what happens without the floating timer

If Android cannot show the floating timer, EchoMom still keeps an ongoing notification so you can return to the session.

If you never see the floating timer, check whether EchoMom can show over other apps, or use the Android Shortcuts widget for quick nursing actions.

Takeaways

What to remember

  • Start the nursing timer in EchoMom first.
  • When you leave the app, Android can keep the timer visible or show it in a notification.
  • You can switch sides, stop the session, or reopen EchoMom from there.
